It has a racing harness just like my race truck. I believe that is allowed for antique vehicles in Texas.Ģ. Here's my questions.ġ.Would I be given I citation for not having an inspection sticker even though my truck is obviously in the antique category(it's a 1978)? I only take this truck to local car club events and to the shop.

I plan to get the antique sticker when my regular sticker expires. My truck is not registered as an antique yet since I already payed for my regular sticker, but my truck clearly falls into the antique category.

From what I understand, classic vehicles are exempt from inspections in Texas. It doesn't have an inspection sticker yet, because it wasn't running when it was registered and honestly it wouldn't make it to the inspection station 20 miles away. But now I have several other vehicles to drive and I only take this one to the shop or to special events. When I registered it, I had planned to use it like a normal truck. I have a "classic" truck, but at this moment it's registered as a regular vehicle.
